| What do the kids do in Holiday Camps? | Our Holiday Camps are structured, which means that the children will be engaged in structured play for much of the session. In addition, there will be a craft session for the fine-motor skills, intermittent free play and a light snack provided. |
| What is the difference between Holiday Camps and Drop & Shop sessions? | Our Drop & Shop sessions cater for
children under 5 years old, Holiday Camps are suitable for
more independent children 3+ to 10 years old. Drop & Shop sessions are upto 2.5 hours in duration, whereas the Holiday camps are 3 hours. Drop & Shop sessions include supervised free play, with lots of toys, interaction with our instructors, song, dance and puppetshows, whereas our Holiday Camps focus on structured, organised relays, games and other activities. |
| Does My Gym provide food for the children? | For
Drop & Shops,
given the age of the children, we ask that you pre-pack a healthy labelled
snack for the children. For holiday camps, we provide a healthy snack (not lunch!!), typically comprising of lots of fruit, carrots, cheese and crackers. But please feel free to bring your own as well/instead. |
| What about allergies? | If you know your child is allergic, please feel free to bring your own snack and we will make sure that your child gets that. Please make sure you label the snack. My Gym is a totally peanut free environment, but we cannot control what parents bring into the gym. |
| What to bring? | Please bring your happy self, listening ears, and... A labelled bag for the children, containing a set of spare clothes (just in case), and a labelled water bottle. |
| Do parents stay? | No,
parents do not stay (no exceptions, sorry). We do this for various reasons,
but mainly because when another child sees you staying, they
start looking for their parents. Likewise, we ask parents not to return too early. Please collect your children at the end of the camp (if you do have to pick them up earlier, please let us know at the start of camp). Often, when parents return too early, children will no longer interact in the activities. |
| What if something happens while I am not there? | That's why we are there. My Gym staff is very experienced in creating a safe and welcoming environment where every child's needs are met. Should anything happen we will not hesitate to contact you. |
| How to book? | Simply by calling us on 1300 4 MYGYM or 6210 5920. Please note that these numbers always go to voicemail. Please leave a message and we'll get back to you. Full payment is due at the time of booking. |
| Can I pay on the day? | In order to secure your spot, you need to pay at the time of booking. No spots will be held without payment. In addition, we need to be available to look after the children that are already on the floor and collecting your payment would prevent us from doing this. For this reason all payments must be made at the time of booking. You can pay over the phone by credit card, in person at the gym, or transfer the fees straight into our bank account. |
| We are currently enrolled in My Gym classes and have make-ups owing. Can we use these to book a holiday camp or Drop & Shop? | Yes, you can. However the make-up class has to be no older than 4 weeks at the time of the holiday camp or drop & shop. In that case you can use that make-up to offset the cost of a camp. You can book a holiday camp for 2 make-ups, or for one make-up plus $10. Please note that we only offer make-up classes if you have notified us in advance. |
| What happens to your regular classes during the school holidays? | Most
classes run as normal throughout the school holidays. Please click here for our holiday class schedule... |
